Android-iphone

If you are an Android user and planned to switch from android to iPhone, you must be concerned about transferring your data on iPhone. Switching from Android to iPhone with your apps and data is generally difficult and it requires lots of things to be done before doing this. Transferring your contact, photos , calendars and accounts from your old Android phone to your new iPhone is easier than ever with the help of Apples new “Move to iOS app.

The app, made for Android (Apple’s first Android app), connect the two phones up with a direct Wi-Fi network and transfers over all your data. Depending on how much is on your phone, it could take a while to transfer everything, but the wireless device-to-device connection makes for a relatively speedy transfer process.

The Move to iOS app transfers your photos, calendar, contacts, text messages, and photos and videos. It doesn’t transfer your apps (they’re obviously not compatible anyway), music, or any of your passwords. Additionally, the option to transfer data from an Android phone with Move to iOS is only available on devices running iOS 9 or higher.

Before you begin

  • Make sure that you have Android version 4.0 or later.
  • On your Android device, make sure that Wi-Fi is on.
  • Plug your new iOS device and your Android device in to power.
  • Make sure the content you’re moving will fit on your new iOS device.
  • If you want to transfer your Chrome bookmarks, update to the latest version of Chrome on your Android device.
  1. Set up your iPhone as normal until you reach the screen titled “Apps & Data“. Select the “Move Data from Android” option.

  4. iOS generate a 10 digit code which you need to enter in the Android phone. If your Android device shows an alert that you have a weak Internet connection, you can ignore the alert.
  5. After entering the code, the Android phone will connect with the iPhone over a Wi-Fi Direct connection and determine what data will be transferred.
  6. On your Android device, select the content you’d like to transfer and tap Next. Then leave both devices alone until the loading bar that appears on your iOS device finishes—even if your Android indicates that the process is complete. The whole transfer can take a while, depending on how much content you’re moving.MOIphone
  7. Make sure that all of your content transferred. If some didn’t, you can move that content manually. Then go to the App Store on your iOS device to find and download apps that were on your Android device.
  8. Once the transfer process is complete, tap on “Continue Setting Up iPhone” on your iPhone and carry on setting up a new Apple ID or logging into an existing one. Once the set-up process is completed, you’ll be prompted to log in to the accounts you transferred from the Android phone. Do that, and then you’re good to go!
