Of the duo of Moto X (Moto X Play and Moto X Style) smartphones announced this year by Motorola, the Moto X Play is already available in India. On the other hand, the high-end Moto X Style isn’t yet, but it would be available in India very soon.
Motorola started teasing the launch of the Moto X Style in the subcontinent last week, and now it looks like we have an actual date to speak of. The image you can see below is a teaser put up by Flipkart, India’s biggest online retailer (which could be gearing up to exclusively offer this device).
Now all that remains to be seen is whether the Moto X Style will actually be available for purchase on October 8 or if that’s just the date of its announcement for the Indian market (in which case it’s going to be released later).
50 units of Motorola Moto X Style have been imported into India at a price of Rs 30,383. Hence, we can expect the company to price it closer to Rs 30,000-32,000 in the country and it would likely be a Flipkart exclusive, initially.
Motorola Moto X Style Specifications
The Motorola Moto X Style features will include a 5.7-inch (2560 x 1440 pixels) Quad HD TFT LCD display which is armed by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It is powered by a 1.8 GHz hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 64-bit processor along with Adreno 418 GPU. It comes with 3 GB of RAM and variant of 16 / 32 / 64 GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 128 GB with help of micro SD card. It runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out of the box. It has Motorola’s X8 Mobile Computing System which combines the Snapdragon 808 to offer dedicated to Natural Language Processing, Contextual Computing including handling the phablet’s multiple sensors.
It will be rocking with a 21 megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, f/2.0 aperture. It can shoot 4K videos. On the front, there is a 5 megapixel front-facing camera with wide-angle lens, LED flash, f/2.0 aperture for selfies and video calling. It has a water-repellent coating but isn’t water-resistant like the new Moto G 3rd Gen. It is 6.1 – 11.06 mm (curve) thick and weighs 179 grams.
On the connectivity part, it comes with 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (dual band), Bluetooth 4.0 LE, GPS, GLONASS and NFC. It packs with a 3,000 mAH battery under the hood. It supports quick charging and comes bundled with the Motorola Turbo Power 25 Charger. 15 minutes of charging can offer up to 10 hours of usage, according to Motorola. The Motorola Moto X Style is available in White and Black color variants.
